Dr. Jeremy Mahoney, DMD
Dr. Jeremy Mahoney graduated from Midwestern University-Arizona College of Dental Medicine in the top 10% of his class; where he received multiple awards for his achievements in general dentistry.
Dr. Mahoney was born and raised in Salt Lake City and received his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University. He took a break from his studies to serve a two-year LDS mission in Monterrey, Mexico and speaks fluent Spanish. Dr. Mahoney is a member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, and several other dental organizations.
He loves spending time with his wife, Tera, and three young daughters: Sailor, Britt, and Mae. He also enjoys spending time outdoors hiking, camping, fishing, hunting, and snowmobiling.
Dr. Jason Barzee, DDS
Dr. Jason Barzee was born in Provo, Utah and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. He attended Brigham Young University but put his education on hold to serve a two year LDS mission to Santiago, Dominican Republic where he gained a love for the food, music, and people of the island. He speaks fluent Spanish and looks forward to serving Spanish-speaking patients. After his mission, he felt compelled to join the military following 9/11 and served for 8 years in the United States Marine Corps Reserves while working as a graphic designer. Following his military service he returned to school and obtained a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He then attended the UMKC School of Dentistry where he graduated with a DDS in 2017.
Dr. Barzee and his wife Kathleen are the proud parents of six children (five girls and one boy); the oldest two are currently attending BYU-Provo. He is a huge sports fan and loves his Kansas City Chiefs and Royals, as well as the BYU Cougars. He also loves to run, eat good barbecue, and spend time outdoors. Dr. Barzee and his family are excited to be back in Utah, and he looks forward to serving the community!
Dr. Benipcia Carrera, DDS
Dr. Carrera grew up in the Chicago suburbs before attending Stanford University for a degree in Economics. After working in healthcare IT for some time, she realized her passion in healthcare was to help people in a more direct way. She traded skyscrapers for mountains and attended the University of Utah School of Dentistry shortly after. During her time there, she volunteered in the community frequently and also spent time in the Dominican Republic helping underserved populations. She completed a residency at the VA Hospital in Salt Lake City where she obtained advanced training in oral surgery, implant placement, endodontics and periodontics. She loved working with our veterans! She is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and Utah Dental Association (UDA). Dr. Carrera is fluent in Spanish and looks forward to helping Spanish-speaking patients.
Dr. Carrera lives with her husband, 2 boys, and 2 dogs. She loves being outdoors, hiking, and traveling. She enjoys a good book, a warm fire pit, and the beautiful Utah sunsets. She looks forward to serving you!
