Your first visit begins with a thorough consultation to discuss your diagnosis and treatment options. A friendly team member will take digital X-rays and intraoral photos . Next, a comprehensive periodontal (gum) exam will be conducted as part of our detailed evaluation. These images are displayed on a 40-inch TV, allowing to review your results with you in real-time. They will then recommend the appropriate dental cleaning and any necessary treatments. If time permits, we can even complete your cleaning during the same visit.

Dr. Jeremy Mahoney
DMDDr. Jeremy Mahoney was born and raised in Salt Lake City, Utah and received his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Brigham Young University. He took a break from his studies to serve a two-year church mission in Monterrey, Mexico and speaks fluent Spanish. He graduated Omicron Kappa Upsilon from Midwestern University-Arizona College of Dental Medicine in 2016. During dental school, he discovered a love for implantology, taking weekend courses and placing implants using a variety of systems.
This passion for helping patients restore esthetics and function through dental implants continued to grow after dental school. Over the years Dr. Mahoney has taken extensive continuing education to advance his clinical offerings. He is a key opinion leader and educator for DIO implants, USA and lectures to other dentists on implant placing techniques. He is also an instructor and clinical provider at the Whitecap institute.
Dr. Mahoney loves nothing more than to transform patients' smiles and give them the smile they’ve always wanted. He also enjoys spending time with his wife and three young daughters and enjoys hiking, camping, and all things outdoors.
Dr. Shane Stapleton
DMSDr. Shane Stapleton is from South Orange County, California and moved to Utah where he attended and graduated from Brigham Young University, where he earned degrees in Micro and Molecular Biology as well as General Business. He then spent two years serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Barcelona, Spain where he became fluent in Spanish.
Dr. Stapleton earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Roseman University of Health Sciences in South Jordan, Utah. Since then, he has been committed to continuous learning and professional growth, attending frequent courses to stay current with advancements in areas such as dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, and dental sleep medicine.
Beyond his professional life, his greatest joy comes from his family. He is a proud husband to an incredible wife, a nurse practitioner, who continues to inspire him with her dedication to healthcare. Together, they are blessed with two wonderful children—a daughter and a son—who keep them busy and fill their lives with joy. When Dr. Stapleton is not working, he enjoys a variety of outdoor hobbies including traveling, golfing and skiing that keep him active and adventurous.
Dr. Benipcia Carrera
DDSDr. Carrera grew up in the Chicago suburbs before attending Stanford University for a degree in Economics. After working in healthcare IT for some time, she realized her passion in healthcare was to help people in a more direct way. She traded skyscrapers for mountains and attended the University of Utah School of Dentistry shortly after. During her time there, she volunteered in the community frequently and also spent time in the Dominican Republic helping underserved populations.
She completed a residency at the VA Hospital in Salt Lake City where she obtained advanced training in oral surgery, implant placement, endodontics and periodontics. She loved working with our veterans! She is an active member of the American Dental Association (ADA) and Utah Dental Association (UDA). Dr. Carrera is fluent in Spanish and looks forward to helping Spanish-speaking patients.
